How do I verify my account on the ChainEX app?

Once you have successfully created a ChainEX account, you are required to verify this account. In order to verify your ChainEX account, all you need to do is follow the steps below:

  1. Using your mobile phone, navigate to the ChainEX app
  2. Sign in to your ChainEX account. If you are not sure how to sign into your ChainEX account, then read the following knowledge base topic over here.
  3. At the bottom of the page, click on the "Start Verification" button.
Mobile Number Confirmation:
  1. Search for your Country
  2. Select your Country
  3. Enter your Mobile Number.
  4. Select "Send OTP"
  5. Enter the One Time PIN (OTP) that was sent to your mobile phone
  6. Then click "Verify OTP". If you have not received the One Time PIN (OTP), then select "Resend OTP", please note that it can take up to a minute to be sent.
Identity Verification:
  1. Under "Issuing Country", search and select your Country
  2. Select whether you will be using an ID or Passport Document
  3. Enter your ID or Passport number (Depending on what you had selected in the previous step)
  4. Click on "Next"
  5. You will now need to upload a clear copy of your ID/Passport Document, click on "Upload Document"
  6. You will need to allow ChainEX to access photos and media on your device.
  7. Identify and select the image you wish to upload
  8. Select "Next"
  9. You will now need to upload the required selfie image (please read the instructions carefully), select "Upload Photo"
  10. Identify and select the image you wish to upload
  11. Select "Next"

Residence Verification:

  1. Under "Country of Residence", search and select your Country
  2. Enter the following:
    1. Province/State
    2. City
    3. Suburb
    4. Code/Zip
    5. Street Name and Number

3. Select "Next"
4. You would now need to upload your Proof of Residence, click on "Upload Document"
5. Identify and select the image you wish to upload
6. Select "Next"
7. Again, select "Next"

Income and Intended Use:

  1. Click on "Next"
  2. Under "Purpose of Account", select all that is applicable
  3. Under "Source of Funds and Wealth", select all that is applicable
  4. Click on "Next"
  5. Select your "Net Monthly Income"
  6. Select your "Industry"
  7. Select your "Position"
  8. Select whether or not you are a PIP (Prominent Influential Person) or a PEP (Politically Exposed Person)
  9. If you own or partially own a business, then you would enter the nature of the business here.
  10. Select "Next"

And there you have it, from this point, your Verification Submission has been sent to the ChainEX Support team to be assessed and reviewed. Please note that the reviewing process can take up to 48 hours to be completed.

Bank Account Verification:

If you wish to link your bank account immediately, then you will follow the steps below, otherwise, you can click on "Skip" as this is not a requirement to complete your Verification Submission

  1. Enter the name of your bank.
  2. Select the bank you are using.
  3. Enter your bank account number.
  4. Select the account type.
  5. Enter the branch code of your bank.
  6. Select "Complete Verification"

At this point, your bank account will be sent for reviewal. Please note that the reviewing process can take up to 48 hours to be completed.
