Frequently Asked Question

What is digital currency mining and does it apply to ChainEX?

Last Updated a year ago

Digital currency mining is the process of using computers to solve complex mathematical problems and validate digital currency transactions to add them to the blockchain. This process incentivizes miners by rewarding them for successfully solving the algorithm and extending the blockchain.

At ChainEX, mining plays a crucial role in confirming and adding digital currency deposits, withdrawals, and transactions to the blockchain. While it is not possible to mine directly to your ChainEX wallet addresses, we advise against depositing directly to the wallet address or using auto-withdrawals from mining pools.

Please take note of the following message which can be found on all deposit pages on ChainEX:

“Please do not mine directly to the deposit address and/or auto-withdraw from pools.”
